A new player in online video was announced today as Hulu, an online video site
that will distribute films and television shows on the Internet.
As a joint venture between NBC and News Corp, Hulu is staged to distribute films
and TV shows produced by NBC and Fox television. Shows like Simpsons, 24 and a
host of other popular TV shows and movies will be available on Hulu. It has
also been announced that these downloads will also be available through
network of other popular sites, including MySpace, AOL, CNET, Yahoo,
Comcast, and MSN. Viacom, owners of MTV, Comedy Central and large portfolio
of others, will not be participating in Hulu.
