Office Plans via Google Maps
Google Maps can easily be customized to display searchable floor plans. A floor plan drawing (PDF, JPG, GIS/CAD formats) can
be displayed on the map as seen in the example below. The example map below demonstrates a very basic implementation of using Google Maps
to display an office floor plan. Labels are dynamically drawn from the database records eliminating the need to recreate office plans everytime there are staff changes.
Select a person via the "Select a Person" dropdown, or type a few characters to search.
Click on the person icon to view additional information.

As Google Maps is based on an Open API, any IT Management System (Altiris, TechTac, etc), or HR System (People Soft, etc) can be seamlessly integrated.
